Behind the Scenes
A Slow Opening at Fuschl
There are places that only reveal themselves slowly. Rosewood Schloss Fuschl was one of them. What began outside the property around the lake, in Salzburg, in the hills, and through the people shaping the place eventually led us inside, where the project took on a life of its own.

The first visits happened while the property was still closed off, surrounded by construction. We could not go inside yet, but the place had already made an impression.
So we began with what was there: the landscape, the sounds, the atmosphere, the people, and the small details that give a place its character.
That meant moving between Salzburg, the umbrella maker, the beekeeper, the mountains, and the artists shaping the artworks inside the rooms. Each encounter added another layer to the story. The hotel was still out of reach, but the world around it was already revealing itself.

When we finally stepped onto the property, it felt like arriving somewhere familiar. By then, Rosewood Schloss Fuschl had already become a small home base: full of detail, history, and the kind of quiet playfulness that takes time to notice. Together with Rosewood, we developed the launch film further and returned for additional shoot days to capture it properly. Alongside that, we followed the soft launch with same‑day delivery reels, real‑time content, and further social pieces.
What stayed with us throughout all of it was the feeling of working with a place that revealed itself slowly. Not in one dramatic reveal, but in layers - through the people, the craftsmanship, the landscape, and the stories woven into the rooms. That’s what made Fuschl feel less like a location and more like something you grow into.
